Is there anything better than sharing your favorite places with one of your favorite people?
Since moving to the Bay Area, I've been so lucky to have friends and family come visit. I love sharing our favorite hiking spots, Chinese restaurants, and little hole in the wall coffee shops. There is something about inviting a dear friend, who you rarely see anymore, into the nooks and crannies of your new normal. It brings them into your everyday life, and even helps you appreciate the day to day blessings of where you are.
This weekend, my sweet, beautiful, wonderful friend, Lauren, came to visit! With us both being in full-time ministry, getting away on weekends can be tough, but it all aligned, and we finally had a few days together! We both relished in moments of rest, adventure, and the joy of doing "nothing". Lauren and I met in college, but she is so much more than a "friend from college." She was a bridesmaid, roommate, classmate, coworker, and has truly become like family. So much so, that my parents and siblings all expect time with her whenever she is around! If you know Lauren, you know that she is a crowd favorite wherever she goes. On Saturday, we ventured out to Half Moon Bay, so I could show her some of my favorite spots!
I'm so grateful for our time together, and the opportunity to enjoy a slice of the Californian coast. Here are some snapshots from my day trip with Lo!
