A Cozy Night on the Coast

One of my favorite places in the whole world is Half Moon Bay.

Cloudy, cozy, and quaint...Half Moon Bay is a dreamy beach town. With little boutiques, delicious food, and friendly dog-walking, fog-loving people - I never want to leave! Plus - the twenty minute drive is just as gorgeous as the destination...with windy, woodsy roads and gorgeous nurseries along the way. Reed and I must have driven there a hundred times since we've moved to the Bay. And sure, I like a hot beach during the summer just like the next Californian girl. However, the minute it's August, I'm already buying Fall candles, dusting off my Docs, and wishing the sunshine away. What can I say? I'm a Bay girl through and through.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.

Last night, my husband and two younger brothers, Maxwell and Jackson, took an evening drive to my favorite beach. Before we cozied up on the sand, we stopped at a delicious restaurant - The Barn. This restaurant is only a year old, but it is grounded in its niche and extremely high customer reviews! They serve all of my favorite things: craft coffee, veggie burgers from Heaven, french fries, and pastries. Yup, I was sold. Outside, they have stringed lights, blankets for cuddling, and heaters at every table. They know what they're doing. If you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, check out The Barn. You won't be disappointed!

Now, I'm no professional photographer, but with my new Canon Rebel, I've loved learning! Below are some shots I captured from our magical evening by the coast.

What's one of your favorite summer spots?
