Blogmas Day 19: Afternoon Hot Cocoa Date

While reading, listen to Winter Song by the Head and the Heart.

Monday is my favorite day of the week.

While everyone on Instagram and Facebook share memes about returning to the work grind, Reed and I enjoy a day off. Sunday's are long and busy work days for us church folk, so it's really nice to have the next day to sleep in, catch up on rest, and spend time together. Along with grocery shopping, budgeting, and cleaning the apartment for the week ahead, we like to fit in a little date.

Reed and I are happy to do just about anything together. Even if our date looks like sitting at our local coffee shop or taking an evening stroll along the Bay, we're just happy to get some quality time together. When we lived in LA, we didn't see nearly as much of each other as we would've liked, because of how busy our individual schedules were. Life here in the Bay is still busy, but we get to work together now, and work from home. Since we work from home, Monday's are the perfect days to get a little escape and spend some real, intentional time together.

Man, do I love where we live. God has blessed us BIG TIME with a beautiful apartment in the Bay Area. San Francisco is truly home to me, and I love that it feels like home now, to Reed too. For Day 19 of Blogmas, I'm sharing our afternoon date to the Mission District for a cup of my all-time favorite hot cocoa at Dandelion Chocolate. This was a great getaway from the busyness of the holiday, to connect and share some favorites together. If you ever find yourself in the area, make some time to check this place out! You won't be disappointed.

Thank you for joining me for Day 19 of Blogmas! I'll see you here again tomorrow, for Day 20! Merry Christmas!
