Blogmas Day 17: Winter Style Look-book
While reading, listen to Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
I have to say, my style game goes up when it's cold enough to layer.
This is definitely one of the reasons why I prefer the colder months. Don't get me wrong, I love the effortless feel that Summer brings...tank tops and shorts with bathing suits underneath, and nothing on my skin but sunscreen. During those warmer months, my style is simple and practical. When the Fall and Winter months begin to approach, I break out the scarves, boots, coats, and hats. For me, the colder months are when I get more creative with style, and tend to spend a little more time picking out an outfit.
Now, I am no professional style blogger. I have never been to a fashion week, let alone a show, and I do not own much designer. I dream of Marchesa gowns, Chanel handbags, and Gucci boots. All of which are nowhere near in my future, but I love dreaming nonetheless. Fashion has always been a place of inspiration for me. It's an outlet for self-expression, creativity, and individuality. What I wear does not define me. Instead, it is fun, and expressive. I've watched fashion shows, and have subscribed to Vogue since I was 13. The colors, textures, patterns, and details of fashion - whether couture or street-style, fascinate me to no end. It is not my main passion or something I want to be in vocationally, but more of a hobby and something I just love. In the new year, I hope to share more of my take on style and fashion here, at Victoria, Truthfully.
So for Day 17 of Blogmas, I have decided to share four different Winter looks with you, that will hopefully inspire your wardrobe! These are looks I love and have worn (or will wear) through December and January. Whether you are a style maven or fashion rookie - own your look! It is my opinion that feeling beautiful, and feeling like yourself in the clothes that you are in, is the very best fashion statement.
Winter Look #1
Perfect for...casual afternoon shopping or brunch with friends.

Winter Look #2
Perfect for...date night, Christmas work party, or girl's night out.
I love the choker trend. This one is especially awesome because of how many different ways you can tie it! It's vegan-suede, and black, which means it goes with everything! Sometimes, a quick wrap around and knot (as pictured), is the perfect way to complete the look. For more feminine looks, I love to wrap it around and tie it in a bow. This choker is made by Julia Muller, who owns the cutest online shop, and has an adorable Instagram feed, to boot! Get yourself this $5 choker for all of your Winter looks here.
