Blogmas Day 2: Winter Candle Haul & Reviews

While reading, listen to A Marshmallow World by She & Him.

So many delicious and delightful scents connect us to the Christmas season.

Gingerbread.

Peppermint.

Balsam.

Cranberry.

Pine.

Cinnamon.

Orange.

Clove.

And the list could go on. When I smell gingerbread, I’m immediately transported to my mother’s kitchen, where baking is rampant this time of year. The smell of peppermint reminds me of handing out candy canes to elementary school friends before Christmas break began. And of course, balsam brings me back to the Christmas tree lot, where our family would choose between the perfect Douglas Fir or Vermont Spruce for our living room. These scents bring back memories from Christmases past, readying our homes and hearts for more special ones to be made!

As I decorate for Christmas each year, the job is not complete until a candle is lit. The wick crackles...warm, ambient light cascades across the walls, and a nostalgic aroma fills the air. Now, it is no secret I love my 3-wick Bath & Body Works candles. I’m a fan of many other brands, but these 3-wick wonders last forever, the scent is strong without being overpowering, and the price is reasonable.

This year, I decided to buy 5 brand new Bath & Body Works scents I have never tried before and review them for you!

Now, unfortunately the pictured Christmas labels on the Bath and Body Works winter line have just sold out. But fear not, the delicious scents are still available, and they have beautiful, brand new packaging. I'm picking up more today! Perhaps you want to buy some candles for stocking stuffers, or as gifts for friends and family. Whatever your purpose for candle shopping may be, consider this haul & guide before you head out to smell and pick up a few! Your nose will thank me.

Blogmas Day 2: Christmas Candle Haul (& Guide!)

1. If you’re a Christmas purist…
Evergreen

B&B Description: White Fir Needles, Fresh Cedarwood, Sweet

My Review: Evergreen smells like a walk through a pine wood on a cold winter day. This is a very woodsy scent, perfect if you simply want your home to smell like a Christmas tree!

2. If you have a sweet tooth…
White Woods

B&B Description: White Oak, Cashmere Musk, Creamy Santal, Vanilla Bean

My Review: This scent is sweet, smelling of fresh vanilla bean! This is the perfect candle to light in your kitchen, but is not too sweet, thanks to the finishing notes of musk and santal.

3. If you like a clean, subtle scent…
Coconut Snowflake

B&B Description: Cooling Peppermint, Fresh Spearmint, Coconut Water

My Review: This is my favorite scent of the whole bunch! Though I usually lean towards woodsy scents in winter, this one has stolen the show. It’s fresh, clean, and smells just a little bit sweet!

4. If  hot apple cider is your favorite holiday beverage…
Tis the Season

B&B Description:  Rich Red Apples, Sweet Cinnamon, Cedarwood

My Review: This spicy, cinnamon scent smells like sippin’ hot apple cider fireside! This candle combines the best of spicy, sweet, and woodsy!

5. If you always put an orange in your stocking…
Winter

B&B Description: Made with Orange and Fir Needle Essential Oils and notes of Clove

My Review: This scent is citrusy, with hints of clove and woodsy notes. This is perfect if you want your home to smell fresh, festive, and like you just cleaned your hardwood floors!
